Fall is on the way! Seasons are changing. The winds pick up, the rain falls, and here in Texas, we welcome those nice, "chilly" 90 degree pre-fall days. I am getting my fall baking ideas ready, too. Y'all should know I don't get too fancy or crazy with any ideas. I relate to the women… Continue reading Delicious Autumn

Hi, I'm E.J. -- Yes, initials, E.J. -- I'm sure at some point I will tell you what it stands for. *insert cringe eyes here*
I happened upon a love of baking, and it has become a much-loved hobby. I am not a professional baker, nor have I taken any culinary or baking classes, but baking has brought a certain much-needed form of serenity and therapy to my life. Being born with many creative bones in my body, I had usually kept to the drawing and painting side of art, until one day, after binge-watching Cake Boss, I decided to put on my proverbial cape and jump right in! I also grew up watching my Nana make 6-7 dozen homemade flour tortillas every Saturday as well as making all of her baked goods from her very private stash of scratch recipes.

I am in the process of creating a blog out of a sheer obsession for journaling. In a mind where an abundance of thoughts, ideas, and ramblings of utter nonsense seem to abide, I figured why not bring a few people into my madness and hope someone out there can relate from time to time!

At any rate...see you around in my insanity! :)

Pain can make you stronger, or it can break you down. Pain teaches you lessons, and at times, kind of brutally. Sunshine is… Continue reading Remember the Rainbow
